Access updating

The OFR/GPO partnership is committed to presenting accurate and reliable regulatory information on Federal with the objective of establishing the XML-based Federal Register as an ACFR-sanctioned publication in the future.

While every effort has been made to ensure that the material on Federal is accurately displayed, consistent with the official SGML-based PDF version on govinfo.gov, those relying on it for legal research should verify their results against an official edition of the Federal Register.

If it is not present, click on Add, select Advanced, and click on “Find Now” present at the right side of the screen. Now try accessing the file from another computer and check if our method is successful.

If you omit the WHERE clause, all records in the table will be updated!

So today, I thought I’d cover the subject of performing a manual update. The Update Channel your system is configured to use dictates your access to updates.

So say you are on the Deferred Channel and you run the manual update, it may tell you that everything is up-to-date (for that channel) when there are numerous updates available, but only to the Current Channel users! As a Deferred Channel user you’ll need to wait months before they are released to your channel. Because of the instability of the Updates coming out of Microsoft for the past year, I highly urge you to use the Current Channel (now renamed Monthly Channel by Microsoft just to add a little more confusion to this entire mess) which will enable you to implement the most recent updates once they are released to try and mitigate all the issues we have continuously been living through.

This prototype edition of the daily Federal Register on Federal will remain an unofficial informational resource until the Administrative Committee of the Federal Register (ACFR) issues a regulation granting it official legal status.

With all the ongoing issues with Access/Office 2016 and the updates coming out of Microsoft, it has become a necessity to know how to Update and Revert (Microsoft’s new term for Uninstalling Updates) Access.
