Slackware package updating

The Slackware Project version 14.2 released on July 1 does little to change that view -- at least, as far as installing it is concerned.

Its KDE desktop is probably the most contemporary trait.

Slackware's goal is to offer design stability and simplicity as the most Unix-like Linux distribution.

You can get the latest (unstable) development snapshots of Slack Grade via anonymous CVS: # cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/slackgrade login When prompted for a password, just press the < ENTER > key, then check out for Slack Grade: # cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/slackgrade co slackgrade Done.

A root tree containing the latest sources for Slack Grade are on the current directory.

This way, if you're using XPKGTOOL, probably you'll not need Slack Grade as a stand-alone utility.

However, if you want a stand-alone version, you're in the right place :) Anyway, you're welcome to know XPKGTOOL.
